It eventually came down to having to manually add or subtract gain from the original drum hit so that it would trigger a different sample. I've read the manual cover to cover, played with every knob, fader, and setting there is but the issue seems unavoidable. So basically, the more consistent the drummer plays, the worse it sounds. However, drum hits at the exact same velocity trigger the exact same sample. Trigger has some cool features that weren't in Drumagog (the latest I used was 4) but has one VERY noticeable and unavoidable flaw: I bought Trigger 2 Platinum a couple weeks ago and have spent a few dozen hours working with it. I've been sampling / sound replacing live drums using Drumagog for quite a few years.
